Move the tool across the array

The F1 travels on tracks and carries two helicoidal brushes. The manufacturer offers different bristle types for different deposits and cleaning conditions. Wet cleaning uses an external water supply; dry cleaning is another operating mode.

A camera helps the operator see the working area, while end-of-line sensors are intended to help prevent falls. The machine separates into four modules for transport. Those details address the practical work of bringing equipment onto a roof, using it and taking it away again.

02

Treat maintenance as part of generation

The robot’s contribution is to the care of an existing energy asset. It does not produce electricity itself, and cleaning is not equally valuable at every site or frequency.

A good maintenance plan still has to consider panel coatings, water availability, safe access and the nature of the dirt. The F1 makes those operational questions visible: energy infrastructure needs tools and service routines as much as it needs new generating technology.
