A workshop bigger than your kitchen table.
You may have the idea but not the workbench. Center Rog offers a place to cut, sew, shape, repair and learn alongside other makers.
SI SloveniaIn practice. The centre runs nine production labs with membership, user packages and training, alongside public spaces in Ljubljana.
What to keep in view
Labs have fees, training and booking conditions. This story concerns current making facilities; the site’s contested redevelopment is a separate part of its history.
Bring a project, learn a process
The wood lab welcomes beginners and experienced users. Hand tools, carpentry equipment and CNC machinery support work that is difficult to attempt at home. Training and mentors are part of the offer.
Across the centre, the labs span textiles, metal, ceramics, glass, jewellery, food and digital fabrication. Shared equipment makes a wider set of processes available without each person owning a workshop.
A place to pause between making
A library, places to sit and a public park give the building a life beyond booked workshop sessions. Making sits alongside ordinary city routines.
