A bread workshop changes who leads the room
Bread Houses Network developed a workshop around an ordinary task: feeling dough, shaping it and making bread together. In its Bread in the Dark format, blind facilitators lead sighted participants in a darkened setting. The task gives the group a shared focus and changes who can confidently guide it.
BG BulgariaIn practice. A Bulgarian programme put blind facilitators in charge of a shared bread-making experience.

Learning through the hands
Dough gives immediate feedback through weight, resistance and texture. The organisers use kneading as a starting point for conversation. The most transferable part of the design is who leads the session and what everyone can do together.
