A mudguard that rolls away when it is dry
A rear mudguard has a clear job on a wet road and very little to do once the road dries. The original Musguard takes its shape when installed and can be rolled for storage. The photograph shows the part next to a bike at the point where it changes between those two uses.
SI SloveniaIn practice. Musguard uses a flexible profile to make a bicycle mudguard easy to remove and carry.
What to keep in view
This story and photograph show the original design. Check model-specific fit and clearance.
The material and the mount work together
The sheet has to be flexible enough to coil and stiff enough in its fitted shape to cover part of the rear wheel. That makes the attachment point and the bike’s geometry part of the design. Carrying it rolled keeps the space penalty low when it is off the bike.
