Sarajevo’s fountains, mapped for everyday life
A fountain can be a landmark and a practical stopping point on the same walk. Map4Water gathered information about Sarajevo’s public fountains and made them visible together. The project treats a scattered collection of small structures as something the city can understand and care for as a network.

What to keep in view
A point on a map does not certify current drinking-water quality or access.
What the map can make visible
A map gives residents and caretakers a shared starting point: where a fountain stands and how it fits into the surrounding street. The project’s archive shows covered fountains, stone basins and taps in very different settings. Mapping is only the first step towards keeping such places useful.
