A farm with neighbours upstairs
At Ferme du Rail in Paris, cultivation shares a site with housing, supported employment and a restaurant. The restaurant uses some of what the farm grows. That relationship gives the produce a nearby destination and ties part of the kitchen's work to what is available from the site.

What to keep in view
The restaurant also uses produce from partner growers. The site layout alone does not establish employment outcomes.
A farm with neighbours on site
The project puts growing, horticultural training, accommodation and a restaurant on the same plot in Paris’s 19th arrondissement. The greenhouse and growing beds give trainees a place to work, while the restaurant and shop give the neighbourhood a way in.
