01

The seat becomes the journey

Opened in Rust in 2022, Eatrenalin combines a restaurant with a programmed sequence of environments. Guests travel in MACK Rides’ Floating Chairs, moving between rooms as the meal progresses. The furniture is also a transport system.

A dish arrives within a setting designed around it: the room, media and service contribute to the experience. The technology changes how a meal unfolds in space, rather than adding a visual effect to a conventional dining room.

02

Designing the transitions

MACK Group’s account brings together ride engineering, media production, hospitality and storytelling. Each discipline has to work to the same timing. The route between courses becomes something to design as carefully as the individual room.

Our reading: that coordination is the useful innovation. A moving chair is memorable, but a successful evening depends on the handovers around it. Food preparation, service and guest movement must remain aligned without making the machinery the only thing a diner notices.

03

An experience with an operating system

The venue remains listed as an operating MACK Group experience. Its value as a case is concrete: it shows what happens when a familiar service is rebuilt around movement, instead of keeping circulation separate from the main event.

The wider questions remain open. How does the experience work for different bodies and sensory preferences? How much depends on first-time surprise? What demands does the system place on staff and maintenance? Those questions help distinguish an impressive production from an approach worth carrying into other settings.
