Collect groceries on your own timetable.
A grocery collection point brings chilled and frozen orders to one pickup opening.
EE EstoniaIn practice. A refrigerated pickup trial with Cleveron 501 and Coop Estonia was documented in 2020.
What to keep in view
The documented trial is not proof of current operation at the same site or universal commercial adoption. Refrigeration, loading, collection windows and user access remain operational work.
Separate collection time from store service
Coop Estonia deployed a Cleveron 501 grocery pickup system in 2020. The installation stores orders across appropriate temperature zones, including chilled and frozen goods, before customers collect them from the same access point. It connects an online order with a physical handover that can occur without a staffed collection desk. The documented deployment is a historical operating case.
The Cleveron 501 trial combines temperature-controlled storage and automated retrieval. Customers collect an online order through the interface rather than opening a wall of separate compartments.
Keep the cold chain in the design
Our reading: a convenient collection point still has to preserve the condition of what it holds. Bringing temperature control into the handover changes which goods can use unattended pickup and which responsibilities remain with the operator.
