Change the stream before asking for less water.
A small tap attachment turns a stream into fine droplets. Twist the handle when the task needs a stronger spray.
SE SwedenIn practice. A Swedish tap attachment with documented mist and spray modes in its Dual Flow product family.
What to keep in view
Manufacturer water-reduction figures depend on the comparison and mode. Tap compatibility, pressure, hygiene requirements and the task affect suitability; flow reduction is not a guaranteed bill saving.
Change how the water reaches the task
Altered introduced its original tap nozzle through a 2016 crowdfunding campaign. The later Dual Flow Pro is a documented commercial product. The Dual Flow Pro offers an atomised mist and a selectable spray mode, allowing a user to change the delivery for different sink tasks. The manufacturer’s product overview specifies retrofit adapters, pressure requirements and maintenance. The device is not compatible with every water system.
Change how water reaches the task, not just how firmly a person is told to turn down the tap.
Match the mode to the use
Our reading: wetting a surface and filling a vessel are different jobs. A continuous stream is convenient for one and can be excessive for the other. The useful move is to make that distinction available at the tap, with a physical switch rather than a lecture or a separate appliance.
